As a teenager Andrea Belotti had a trial with Atalanta and wasn't taken. He started again at AlbinoLeffe. At Torino he would score 113 goals and become captain.
From the Bergamo area
Belotti was born on 20 December 1993 in Calcinate, near Bergamo. He started at the parish club in Gorlago and then at Grumellese.
He had a trial with Atalanta, but it didn't go well. So he joined AlbinoLeffe's youth teams and developed there.
Third tier and Palermo
In 2012-13 he played for AlbinoLeffe in the third tier (Lega Pro Prima Divisione). From 2013 to 2015 he was at Palermo, first in Serie B and then in Serie A.
Torino's Rooster
From 2015 to 2022 he played for Torino: 113 goals in 252 games, captain from 2017. In 2021 he won Euro 2020 with Italy.
They call him «il Gallo» (the Rooster): as a boy a friend suggested he celebrate by miming a rooster's crest.
