Barbara Bonansea grew up in Bricherasio, a small town near Pinerolo. At sixteen she was already playing in Serie A. At the 2019 World Cup she scored twice against Australia.
From the Pinerolo area
She was born in Pinerolo on 13 June 1991 and grew up with her family in Bricherasio. In 2004 she joined Torino's youth teams, winning two Primavera titles.
On 15 September 2007, aged 16, she made her Serie A debut for Torino against Atalanta.
Brescia and Juventus
From 2012 to 2017 she played for Brescia: 61 goals and her first league title in 2013-14. Since 2017 she has been at Juventus, winning six league titles and four Coppa Italia.
Italy
She made her Italy debut on 19 September 2012 against Greece. At the 2019 World Cup in France she scored twice against Australia in the opening game (2-1). On 23 February 2024 she reached 100 caps.
